				The success of three-time Pennzoil World of Outlaws champion Sammy Swindell can be traced to a philosophy that governs his personal and professional life…"be the best at whatever you do." And, Sammy has time and again demonstrated his determination to be the best. 2001 will mark his 29th year in racing, a career that has seen Sammy successfully compete in numerous forms of major motor sports including NASCAR stock cars and trucks, Indy cars, modified sprinters and midgets. Nowhere, however, has Sammy obtained the racing success that he has enjoyed with The World of Outlaws. With more than 250 A-Main Feature victories to his credit, he is the second most winning driver in the Series. He earned the Series championships in 1981, 1982 and in 1997, a year that marked a motor sports milestone for Sammy – his 25th anniversary in racing. Looking forward to the 2001 Series, Fansteel is truly excited about its new affiliation with the legendary Tennessee driver. Sammy finished the 2000 World of Outlaws season on a tear. On his way to locking up second place in the over-all points title, Sammy recorded 11 A-Main wins, 36 top 5's, 46 top 10's, and was first in feature laps led with 348 to his credit.
